Energy balance isn’t a perfect science. It’s not as simple as a calculator formula.

But whether your goal is to fuel performance, recover properly or change your body composition, you need a basic understanding of how energy is coming into your body and how it’s being used.

The numbers matter but context matters more.

What we don’t want is this:

Slash calories.
Ramp up training intensity.
Hope for the best.

That approach usually leads to fatigue, poor recovery, stalled progress and eventually giving up.

Instead, we focus on creating a sustainable balance between food intake, training demand, recovery and lifestyle stress. The goal is progress you can actually maintain.
